UP SPACO!!!

Greetings to everyone! On behalf of all SPC alumni here in the USA and at home I welcome you all to our annual reunion and the celebration of our Patron Saint day (St. Patrick) that celebrate every year on the 17th of March.

We decide to celebrate this event today since 17th fell on a weekday but based on this we are celebrating it on a weekend before the fixed day so as to accommodate our presence here today.

I thank you all for honoring our invitation to come and merry with us and also come to help us raise the fund that we so desire to help us complete our project of remodeling the school Dinning Hall.

Two years ago, we raised funds as we are doing today to remodel our school kitchen and today we are proud to inform you all that the kitchen have been commissioned and is in use now by the students.

This was done with the help of people like you that made that project possible based on helpful hands as yours. Ladies and gentlemen, we have embarked on that project and we shall be very grateful to give you a progress report next time we meet.

Our mission today is to raise money for our cause and also we are here to party with you and also we shall enjoy.

I use this occasion again to thank you all here and also to thank you all for finding time to be with us.

Please remember that your donation to SPC is tax deductible.

Thank you again and God bless.

Chris. E. Oyobio, Sr.

President

The Patron Saint Of Spaco
st_patrick.jpg The person who was to become St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was born in Wales about AD 385. His given name was Maewyn, and he almost didn't get the job of bishop of Ireland because he lacked the required scholarship.

Far from being a saint, until he was 16, he considered himself a pagan. At that age, he was sold into slavery by a group of Irish marauders that raided his village. During his captivity, he became closer to God.

He escaped from slavery after six years and went to Gaul where he studied in the monastery under St. Germain, bishop of Auxerre for a period of twelve years. During his training he became aware that his calling was to convert the pagans to Christianity.
